Tuesday

yawn

i woke up this morning with a crispy taste in my mouth. i'm not sure how else to describe it, but it felt like it was stuffed with a handful of dried out cornflakes.
i rolled over towards the end of the bed and looked down at the floor. i stared at the floor for a few minutes. not looking at the floor, just staring through it. drool began to pool at the corner of my mouth so i sat up and looked out the window to my left. i heard the creaking of the floor boards above my head and knew that Randy was up. he'd be down here in a few minutes to wake me up. i continued to stare out the window, rubbing my nose and trying to get these damn cornflakes out of my mouth.
my door opens and Randy shuffles in.
"you up?" he says, looking at me sitting up in bed staring out the window.
"almost" i reply.
"you want some?" he asks holding out his hand with a small pipe.
the cornflakes now make sense.
"um, no not right now" i say while opening and closing my mouth to get the saliva moving around.
i'm tired, i need to get more sleep.
